Lizzy Lizard ~ A NEW venture in Pet Photography!

I have had a lot of fun doing pet photos in the past, but they are typically much fuzzier than this little creature...I had so much fun looking at the scales and what texture they create. In the ugliest kind of way, Lizzy is a beauty!!! ;)

Lil Buckaroo off into the Sunset {Clovis, NM Photography}

 This sweet little cowboy has grown so much since I last photographed him a year ago! He had so much fun galloping around the park in the most incredible chaps that actually belonged to his daddy (as a child.) We had a great time, save for one incident that gave this macho man a war wound for the day, even after his owie his sweet face was just perfection! This family is moving in the very near future and I have come to call them dear friends. I will certainly miss them!

Self Portrait

 I have become acquainted with a fabulous website for photographers called iheartfaces.com, since I am really interested in portraiture specifically this is a really great site for me to check out what others are doing and also a chance for me to show off a thing or two of my own.
This blog post will be entered in this weeks photo challenge with the theme of Self Portrait :)

A Family Evening in the Park

There is nothing I love more than seeing a family interact with one another so playfully. I was able to share an evening with the Gershons at a beautiful park. It was the perfect backdrop for such a good looking group! I'm so happy that I was able to capture some moments of their daily joy.

Baby Dillon

This sweet little man was a pleasure to shoot. He did practically all of the work, he posed himself and was quite content throughout, despite having just woke up! What a good natured little guy. I enjoyed this shoot very much!

Sometimes we just need a little abstraction.

Every once in a while I get to go out and just shoot for my personal projects, no client in mind. Those are the times when I feel the most free and am able to focus on things that appeal to me as an individual. With each of these examples I chose to focus on an individual aspect of the subject matter, whether it be color, texture, light, mood or something undefined but special to me. I wanted to share these images for no particular rhyme or reason simply because they are photographs that I enjoy on a personal level.  :)

N & M: Old Hollywood + Man in Uniform = Love

This is a love story worthy of a Hollywood script. Mike and Nichelle absolutely glow in each others' presence. Absolutely adorable. For this wedding and reception I chose to feature some of the more candid shots because I truly adore the way that M & N look at each other when they thought that no one was watching! Love it. I have known Nichelle from the day that she was born and to see her swept off of her feet by her Prince Charming means the world to me!

The W Family: Simply Playful

It was a special treat to take the family photos of an old friend. I hadn't seen Carly in ten years so it was amazing to catch up with her and be able to get to know her sweet family during this session. They are not only a beautiful family, they also know how to have fun together. It was a treat to see such a warm loving family, they made it so easy to find special moments in their day!

K & B: The magical flying bride & groom

It is not every wedding reception that you'll find a bride that will drag her groom onto a trampoline for some high flying fun! But that's really no surprise for such an outdoorsy active couple! Congratulations Kristen and Bob :)Thank you for allowing me to capture such precious moments in your new life together.
