RED! With an Antique Twist

I know that there are a lot of photographers and retouchers out there that make their bread and butter by taking an old damaged image and making it appear 'as good as new'. I took this challenge to re-retouch an image that I had snapped of my daughter in our home. It was by no means technically perfect, but I saw a lot of potential to create something amazing from it. In the past few months I have sorted through countless antique images and family snapshots that have been released from their dark caverns of the land of forgotten. Something about my daughter's image struck me because she truly resembled the family line. So I took great care to distress an otherwise standard photograph. I'm incredibly pleased with the result because I utilized techniques that were worth 'dusting off' in my repertoire!  Enjoy!
